Hey, I just recently bought some WPC and dextrose and I was wondering, how much should I take of each? I’m 17, weigh about 67kg at about 170cm…
I read that I was meant to take 1g per pound I weigh of WPC.. so basically about 145 grams. I’m not too sure about the dextrose though.. How much should I take?February 4, 2006 at 10:27 pm #2255
I’d use 1-2 scoops with your WPC shake post work out. Your body will soak it up more efficiently that way.February 4, 2006 at 11:23 pm #6027
The PWO research was initially based on 0.4g per kg bodyweight P, and 0.8g per kg bw C. Results were dose dependant so one could obviously bump up protein and carbs if that fit with ones overall calorie target.
Stick with the 1:2 P to C ratio post workout though. If overall diet demands you could bump up carbs. Cyclists tend to go for 1:4.
At othertimes dietary goals should dictate amounts of P, C and F.

Yep, but you might try the same again an hour after training.
Apart from that it’s total daily calories that count.
