Hi just starting to do weight training, Im a bit unsure to what protein powder is best- a soy product or whey? What are the advantages of each and which one is more readily absorbed by the body?March 22, 2006 at 6:02 am #2514
Both are readily absorbed by the body but there is an argument that phytoestrogens in soy may not be that good for males.
Then there is a counter argument… Just google soy and bodybuilding
In the end you’ve got to make up your own mind.

In my opinion you want to avoid soy at every opportunity. I don’t think I’ve ever gone looking for the counter argument. 😀
